Staring up at the stars

A short story written not too long ago. Must be edited more but here it is.

*******************************
Staring up at the stars as she did every night, she wondered if her soul would ever return to her. At this point it was almost doubtful. Tracing her finger across the sky she picked out the constellations Orion Taurus Pleiades Cassiopeia Andromeda her finger stopped at the curve of the celestial body. Andromeda, the beautiful princess bound in sacrifice, open to the world.

The girl lay back onto the cool earth, watching the stars float past her above. Every wish she made to the night sky every hope conceived in the moon pushed her further from her true path.

Stretched out over the ground, her true hopes began to rise. Somewhere there was a pure love for her not one she had to beg for hope for pray for wish for She was not ever one to be second. Why was she allowing this to happen to her now?

A star fell from the sky, reflected in her large, tear-filled eyes. Was there even really anything true about her? She had been behind a mask for so long she no longer knew.

He cowers alone in the corner of his room, crying from the sufferings of a broken heart, cringing from the pain and the stabs of betrayal. How can he live when there is no tomorrow? Bound by chains unseen, and left to die, she sets him free.. left broken, limp, barely alive. Bound by even more chains than ever before. Gazing empty into a lifeless existence he can see a future with her and a future without her. There's only so much he can do and so much he can't do but in the end maybe he's meant to be... the one to cower alone in the corner of his room. Crying from the suffering of a broken heart, cringing from the pain and the stabs of betrayal, because now he knew that there would never be another tomorrow.

Maybe she wasn't sure. Gazing up at the stars, feeling alone and misplaced in the universe, knowing that the future would always be uncertain. He traces the very same constellations as she did, Orion Taurus PleiadesCassiopeia Andromeda

and his fingers point back towards the very same cold earth, right back at her. Gazing at broken dreams and promises, and nights of a thousand sorrows weak as he is, as dim as his light may be, wishing only to tell her, she is second to no one, and will be the only one.

He lays there restless, half a breath, laying there, right next to her, feeling like the wait was more than an eternity. She would never be alone, unless she wished for to them both to be.

Staying up 'til 5am when I should be sleeping so I can study and clean the next day is bad. *goes to sleep*
